International undergraduate admission is handled by the Directorate of International Students and governed by the Senate directive on admission of students from abroad or of foreign nationality, adopted on 10 January 2024 (Senate decision no. 01) and published as a PDF from the eligibility-criteria link. Candidates apply through the university's online pre-registration form, may select up to three programmes, and are ranked on their İGÜYÖS result, a TR-YÖS or other institution's YÖS result, or the national exams, international exams and secondary school grade averages set out in Annex 1 of the directive. A conditional acceptance letter is uploaded to the applicant tracking system within 2-5 working days; the applicant then pays the deposit stated in that letter and uploads the receipt, after which the acceptance and visa letters are issued within 5-10 business days. Quotas are set by Senate decision, approved by the Board of Trustees and confirmed by the Council of Higher Education, and meeting the application conditions alone is not sufficient for placement.
